My New Blog

Well life is getting a little slower in Venice now that our "Snowbird friends" are returning home for the summer.  What a whirl wind it has been, almost like the days of old with realtors and their customers lining up outside the best buys waiting for their showing turn.  Just a couple of days ago, I was followed to 2 of the Island's least expensive beach area properties by another agent and her customers.  When we are talking Venice Island and $199,000 it's to be expected!  We are finding some of the serious buyers have stayed a little longer to see if they can take advantage of some really good buys.

The weather is absolutely picture perfect!!  Low 80's, low to no humidity and that great gulf breeze.  A truly wonderful time of the year. 

We are taking lots of rental reservations for next season, so if you are looking for a new vacation spot, don't delay too long.

I wanted to touch briefly on the $8000 tax credit.  If you are a 1st time homebuyer, there really really! is no better time to buy than now.  You need to locate and purchase your new home between now, started January 1, 2009, and November 30th 2009 to take advantage of this program.  I have actually seen a few homes priced under $50,000, that when combined with the credit would be an unbelievable value to a 1st time buyer.  HUD homes also offer a lower entry level price point, and the owner/ occupants get 1st crack at the properties!  Feel free to contact me for more information on the credit.
