My New Blog

Well, we just weathered our 1st storm of the year.  No Problem Man, as the saying goes.  We managed to get some much needed rain.  Hopefully Waycross GA will get rain and put out those wildfires that have been smoking up Venice over the last month.  All is good, the sun is shining and the grass is greening up as I write.

The month of May was a little slow here for real estate.  On the Island 4 single family homes, 5 condo's and 1 mobile home sold in the month of May.

There are 111 single family homes and 257 condos (including mobile homes)for sale on the Island at this time.  Alot of sellers are letting their listings expire now as we go into the dog days of summer.  There are people still looking so what is the harm in keeping it on?

It looks like the High School issue (to move or not to move) has mostly been decided.  One last vote before the school board and then hopefully it will be over.  Personally I want it to stay.  That's why we moved here to begin with, and as my daughter will be a Freshman there next year I am glad of it.
