Well, it's finally happened!  It's cold, in Florida terms that means 62 today.  The sun is shining but this little blast of winter sure did sneak up on us.  It's ok, gives us a chance to dig out our winter clothes, we only see them a few times per year. 

The Sun Fiesta last weekend was a great success as always and we are looking forward to our downtown Halloween Event, Trick or Treating on Venice Avenue, big fun for the merchants as well as the children.  This weekend is the downtown Art Fest.  Our town is getting into full swing with our annual festivities.

To update since my last blog, we have welcomed Alice Salaices to our professional group of experienced agents.  Having worked together in the past it's business as usual for us, but we are enjoying her coming onboard.

We officially joined the Venice Chamber of Commerce and had our ribbon cutting ceremony on October 3rd.  Our Big Grand Opening, Open House, was a huge success!  It was so nice to have so many of our friends turn out for the event.  Lots of Food and Drink were shared by all.  It's nice to say "The Office is Done!"  If you haven't been in, please come by and check us out.

I will update on market activity since it's been awhile.  Sales are brisk, prices are still down but we have had a steady flow all year long.

I will give the Venice Island stats, but you may be interested to know that the most sales have occurred in Venice Gardens.  It doesn't take rocket science to figure out why, 3 miles from the beach and lots of amenities nearby and homes selling from $70,000!

Here are the Venice Island Stats:

Single Family currently for sale 92, priced from $150,000-$4,850,000

Single Family currently under contract 12, priced from $207,300-$875,000

Single Family Sold as of 7/1/08 22, priced from $279,900-$1,530,000

Condo, Co-op & Manufactured Homes currently for sale 178 priced from $69,900-$1,750,000

Condo, Co-op & Manufactured Homes currently under contract 9, priced from $65,000-$649,000

Condo, Co-op & Manufactured Homes Sold as of 7/1/08 45, priced from $89,900-$839,000

 

We are all hopeful that once the election is over, we can all regroup and get our economy back in gear.  Whichever way it plays out.  But if you need an escape from the negativity, come on down and don't worry, be happy with us!
