Hello Readers!  Sorry to be so long in updating you on the Island News, but business has been booming.  We have had much improvement in both activity and sales with the snow birds scooping up our bargain properties.  Wow, a Island Home WEST of Harbor with a pool and Golden Beach Access just sold for $325,000.  What a buy!!  I must reiterate what I said last time, if you are sitting on the fence, you are missing out.  Don't look back and say I should have bought, jump on the bandwagon.  Investors are pouring into our market, a sure sign that the tides have turned.

These are the monthly statistics for the Island January 08 - March 31, 08

January:    Single Family Homes Sold (4) priced from $340,000-$1,600,000              

               Condos Sold (2) priced from $95,000-$439,000

February:  Single Family Homes Sold (8) priced from $270,000-$580,000

               Condos (14) priced from $103,000-$550,000

March:  Single Family Homes Sold (11) priced from $295,000-$600,000

           Condos (13) priced from $77,000-$1,575,000

These numbers are very encouraging in both numbers of properties sold and the selling prices.  Some of the communities such as Venetian Falls are still increasing their home prices as they have 0 inventory.

As for the happenings at the new office, we are still a work in progress.  It is coming together nicely and hopefully our parking lot and drive will be paved before too much longer.  The inside looks great, if you are in the neighborhood please stop by for a visit.  To get a glimpse of the new place, check out the company website: www.venicehometownrealty.com the picture on the homepage is the office.  We are now offering Vacation Rentals for next season, and this coming summer.  If you have a home you would like us to rent for you, let us know.  We currently have more requests than we can fill.
